  Toke Makinwa in her book, recalled the fire that claimed the lives of her parents who were just 35 (dad) and 34 (mum) at the time of their deaths. They died when Toke, their second child and one of four children, was just 8 years old. The fire was caused by a gas cylinder explosion at their home  "My dad had come out of the building smelling of burning rubber, putting out the fire on his shorts as he tried to explain what happened to a crowd that seemed to be getting bigger every minute. There was something I could taste in my mouth; it was fear. Fear gripped me and I could barely move. In movies, you sometimes see a scene with someone burning from head to toe. Everyone ran back trying to figure out who it was. It took a moment to realise it was my mum. I stood glued to the spot watching her burn."  I can't seem to imagine all what she has gone through. plus a broken marriage. She really is strong.

  After reading some excerpts from Toke's book, I don't know whether to cry for her, slap her or hug her. She's really strong to have endured all this. well Toke, maje and the other lady anita, have been trending on twitter since yesterday.

In a post shared via Instagram, she mourned her pet, writing:  "My heart is hurting tremendously. Today Sparty died after knee surgery complications.He was my 1st baby with Ice.There'll never be another dog like him. Everybody that knew him thought he was very human like and so lovable.. His full name was Spartacus The Supermodel.. He was only 6.. I have been crying my brains out I'm shocked! #oneofakind."

With the emergence of Rotimi Akeredolu as winner of the just concluded Ondo State Governorship election, his wife Betty Chioma Anyanwu-Akeredolu is set to become the First Lady of the State. Mrs. Akeredolu, who is currently the President of Breast Cancer Association, hails from Emeabiam in Owerri Local Government Area of Imo State. The couple are blessed with four children, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (Jnr), Dr Teniola Akeredolu, Mrs.Yejide Runsewe and Babajide Akeredolu.

  Charlie Boy is obviously angry and has lashed out at Nigerian youths, asking them to stand up for their right by joining hands in fighting corruption in the Country. According to the President of Frustrated Nigerians on his IG post, he said if nothing is done quickly, many youths will be faced with serious hardship next year.  ‘I swear to you silly, ignorant, foolish and lazy Nigerian youths.    62-year-old Chinese actor and martial arts star Jackie Chan was the recipient of an honorary Oscar at the 2016 Governors Awards in Los Angeles, California on Saturday . Chan, who has never been nominated for an Academy Award during his 54-year career, finally received the Oscar at the awards ceremony, which is hosted by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood. 

   Senator Dino Melaye says this barbaric act of applying tribal marks on children must stop. According to him, the National identity card is enough form of identification. He plans to sponsor a bill that will prohibit this outrageous practice.
