Jhene Aiko Flaunts Her African Roots, Tweets in Yoruba
American R&B sensation Jhene Aiko, full name Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo is African American, Japanese, German Jewish, Spanish, Afro-Dominican, French, and Native American (Yaqui, Cherokee, Navajo, Choctaw) by ethicity.
She was born to a mother of Japanese, Spanish and Afro-Dominican descent named Christina Yamamoto and a father of African American, Jewish and Native American descent named Karamo Chilombo.
The singer showed off her mixed race by tweeting in Yoruba Language, one of the major tribes in Nigeria.
She tweeted “Kuroni’waju mi” which means, “Leave my front/face”, in English.

She later went on to ask her Nigerian fans if she tweeted that correctly. Yes you did Jhene. Perhaps she’s Nigerian?
